WHAT IS A POSTPARTUM DOULA?
A postpartum doula is a trained professional who is an expert in helping parents adjust to life with a new baby. Postpartum doulas provide a wide range of services depending on your situation and desires, and each visit is tailored to your needs at that moment.

WHAT DOES A POSTPARTUM DOULA DO?
Here are just some of the things a postpartum doula can do:
-
Provide education, guidance and support to help you become confident and adjusted to life with your new baby.
-
Help with breast/chest or bottle feeding, bathing the baby, infant sleep guidance, baby-wearing, and help with older siblings.
-
Help with making your home feel comfortable which may include light housekeeping, tidying, laundry, and snack preparation.
-
Caring for the baby while you get some much-needed rest, go for a walk, talk with a friend on the phone, do yoga, or do anything you need to feel cared for and nourished.
-
Unlimited emotional, physical and mental support for parents and all caregivers involved.

What are the Benefits of Having a Postpartum Doula?
As a doulas I offer loving, compassionate, experience and knowledge on all aspects of the postpartum period, including infant care and development, breast/chest feeding, nursing, bottle feeding, normal postpartum and cesarean recovery, postpartum blues & depression self-screenings, facilitation of bonding and meal preparation.
I will support your family and give you time to rest and heal, while offering infant care instruction, and breastfeeding and lactation coaching. I’m educated in the proper postpartum healing process and can give referrals to specialists as needed. I want you to feel supported and loved during the time you need it the most.
